Can you make a Dozen or more videos in one day? Sure!

Lo-Fi Cherokee was a music video project built around a simple idea: shoot multiple music videos in a single day in the shops, bars, and restaurants along Cherokee Street, one of St. Louis’ most interesting and diverse commercial districts.

Created by filmmaker Bill Streeter as part of Lo-Fi Saint Louis, the event brought local musicians, a production crew, and audiences together for a full day of live music and filmmaking. The crew moved down the street from location to location, recording performances with the public invited to watch.

Each video captured a band and a place, documenting the music of St. Louis alongside the businesses and spaces that give Cherokee Street its character.

This archive collects those videos and recognizes the musicians, crew members, business owners, and neighbors who made them possible. Browse by year, revisit a favorite, or discover a performance you missed.
